2022 French Presidential Election Markets

The Iowa Electronic Markets is a futures market run for research and teaching purposes. Traders can buy and sell real-money contracts based on their belief about the outcome of an election or other event. Using this "wisdom of crowds," the price of a contract at any given time is a forecast of the outcome.

The IEM 2022 French Presidential Election Markets are real-money futures markets where contract payoffs will be determined by the popular vote cast in the 2022 French Presidential Election. There are currently three markets in this set:

FR22R1_WTA — based on results of first round of voting for French President

FR22_CAND — based on candidates selected for second round of voting for French President

FR22R2_WTA — based on the results of second round of voting for French President
