Connecting to WebExchange

Software Requirements

WebEx is a web-based trading system. You must have access to the Internet and an Internet browser in order to trade in WebEx. The most well known Internet browsers are Microsoft Internet Explorer, Netscape, and AOL.

While WebEx does not require a specific browser, you will find it more user-friendly if your browser is HTML 2.0 compatible. Generally speaking that means that a browser published in the last two years will be easier for you to use.

Logging in

Traders must log into WebEx in order to trade. The login process will verify your trader-name and password and assign a temporary password for your trading session.

To log in, go to the at:

http://128.255.244.60/trader-login.html

Type your trader-name and password in the spaces provided and click on the Login button. Or, log in to one of our practice markets by using one of our practice account IDs.

After you log into your account, you will see a welome screen.

Choose the market you wish to view, and click on the Start button to start your trading session. If you decide that you do not wish to trade, you must Start the session and use the Logout button to Logout.

Only one simultaneous connection is allowed for each account. Once you log into your account, you cannot log in again until you log out or are automatically logged out.

Logging in to the Practice Markets

Practice markets use the same user interface as real-money markets, but traders have no money at risk.

To log into a practice market, use one of our practice account names and passwords. Practice account names are aaa, bbb, ccc, ..., zzz. Use the same three letter string as the password for these accounts.

Logging out

For security purposes, log out of WebEx at the end of your trading session. To log out, click on the Logout button in the WebEx menu bar at the bottom of your screen.

Traders are automatically logged out of WebEx after 15 minutes of inactivity.
